A little about me.
My interest in complementary therapies began while I was working in Ipswich Hospital as a health care assistant. An aromatherapist worked on the ward, and the benefits to patients, some of whom were chronically ill, was clearly apparent.
I discovered that an holistic therapy course was available at Suffolk College, and enrolled in early autumn, 1998. This was a full time year long course covering reflexology, aromatherapy, anatomy and physiology at diploma level. The course also included stress management and diet & nutrition at certificate level. I was awarded my qualifications by the International Therapists Examining Board, ITEC, in 1999.
Of all the disciplines I found I had a natural leaning towards reflexology, as the benefits are clearly demonstrable and long lasting. During my 10 years as a practitioner I have studied two further courses with Ann Gillanders at the British School of Reflexology.
I studied Reiki over a period of three years, gaining a practitioner certificate in 2007 with Christine Johnson, a member of the Reiki Federation.
I thoroughly enjoy giving the treatments and gain great pleasure from the satisfaction they give to clients.
